The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors. The organization strives to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women and to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other. The Wounded Warrior Project provides unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of wounded warriors.

The Wounded Warrior Project uses the ASSURE model of service in an effort to Advocate, Serve, Support, Unite, Rehabilitate, Educate, Employ and Empower wounded warriors returning from the global war on terrorism. WWP has a variety of programs including backpacks, benefit liason services, peer mentoring, Soldier Ride, adapted sports, Warriors to Work, WWP alumni and TRACK.
