BlazeSports America is pleased to invite you to participate in our 2011 Webinar Series on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 2:00 EST for the webinar How to Build Disability Sport & Physical Activity Programs in Your Community. Participants will learn about all the resources needed to design, develop and launch successful community-based disability sports and physical activity programs.  The BlazeSports Active for Life Toolkit – a resource to assist communities with serving people with physical disabilities in sport and physical activity settings will be featured.  The session will also include a case study by Adaptive Sport Iowa which utilized the BlazeSports Active for Life Toolkit to launch their nationally recognized program.

Our BlazeSports America presenters will be:

Jeff Jones MPE, CPRP, CTRS, Director of Sports & Community Programs
Dan Humphreys, MS, Director of BlazeTEC
Mike Boone, Director, Adaptive Sports Iowa

BlazeSports America understands the positive impact sports and physical activity have for youth and adults with disabilities. The benefits of exercise run the gamut from promoting life-long health and personal empowerment to developing skills and habits that encourage success in all facets of life.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people with disabilities can find it more difficult to eat healthy, control their weight, and be physically active.  This webinar will provide information and resources to help local communities establish sports and physical activity programs that create more inclusive sport, fitness, and physical activity environments.
